Contact Web Cleaning Tacky Roll

Deuce Contact Cleaning / Tacky Roll

The 2-Roll Deuce Contact Cleaning / Tacky Roll Cleaning System is designed for cleaning just one web surface and is the most basic of all the narrow web cleaners. It consists of one contact cleaning roll (CCR) and one tape roll.
Product waste results from dust and particulate contamination on surfaces of film, paper, or other substrates. Small particles adhere to the web surface due to static charges, moisture, etc. These particles lower your product quality, cost you money, cause production loss and dissatisfied customers.
Simco’s Narrow Web Contact Cleaning Systems can remove particles from 20 down to 1 micron. Using CCRs in a nip configuration, the CCR applies from 0.5 to 2 psi pressure on the web, squeezing out the boundary layer of air. Performance evaluations reveal a cleaning efficiency of 97% of particles down to 10 micron in size and removal of most particles to 1 micron in size.

QuadClam and HexClam Contact Cleaning

These 4 and 6 roll contact cleaning / tacky roll cleaning systems remove particulate from both the top and bottom web-surface. The QuadClam and HexClam Web Cleaning Systems allow the top-half of the cleaner assembly to open and the tape-roll to slide out on a drawer. This greatly facilitates tape maintenance and web threading. The HexClam is available to 24” and the QuadClam is for 30”– 60” widths.
Features:
► Quick release gudgeons for quick removal of tapes.
► Air cylinders engage & separate rolls.
► Anti-Static bar and power supply for easy particulate removal
► Operator panel remotely mounted
► Speed: 500 fpm on narrow webs and up to 500 fpm on wide
► Rugged SS/AL construction with Plexiglas safety covers

QuadClean and HexClean Contact Cleaning

The QuadClean and HexClean Contact Cleaning / Tacky Roll Cleaning Systems are basic 4-roll and 6-roll assemblies for both top and bottom web-surface cleaning. The HexClean is available to 24” wide and the QuadClean for 30” to 60” widths.
Features:
► Quick release gudgeons for quick removal of tapes.
► Air cylinders engage & separate rolls.
► Anti-Static bar and power supply for easy particulate removal
► Operator panel remotely mounted

Vac-N-Tac Comb. Web Cleaning System

SIMCO’s patent pending Vac-N-Tac Narrow Web Cleaning Systems are precision engineered to continuously clean paper, film or foil substrates of web thickness as thin as .001".
Particles down to 1 micron in size are removed in a 3-stage process using static elimination, vacuum and contact cleaning rolls (CCR). The Vac-N-Tac Web Cleaner offers better value and higher performance than just contact cleaning systems, ultrasonic cleaners or traditional vacuum collection. Specifically designed to fit into lines with space constraints, the unit vacuum cleans the majority of particles before the CCR cleans the web. Performance evaluations reveal a cleaning efficiency of 97% of particles down to 10 micron in size and removal of most particles to 1 micron in size.

Vacuum Style and Contact Cleaners

Mark I Vacuum Web and Sheet Cleaning System

The Mark I Web and Sheet Cleaning System includes brushes and static control bars before and after the vacuum slot. Removal of dust and dirt improves production speeds and lowers the incidence of product quality defects.
An Ion-O-Vac’s is normally mounted where material has more than 30 degrees of surface contact with a roller or cylinder. This maximizes the cleaning effect of the high pressure vacuum. The collector must be located in close proximity to the heads.
One sided or top and bottom web cleaning Contact and non-contact configurations Brackets and ducting included Micrometer adjustments for precisely locating the cleaner head over the substrate Manual or optional pneumatic retraction systems to raise and lower the heads Brushes slide in and out for easy replacement Economical replacement brush pricing

Ion-O-Vac Mark IV Rotary Brush Web and Sheet Cleaning System

Ion-O-Vac Mark IV Sheet Cleaning Systems utilize the power of rotary brush action to scrub the material surface, cleaning down to 5-microns. The scrubbing action of the Mark IV rotary brush is designed for the toughest of materials that demand the cleanest of surfaces.
Standard features include a canister collector with cartridge filter, pre-filter and motor starter, Ion-O-Vac head with rotary brush, micrometer adjustment for raising and lowering the head(s), drive motor and speed control, static eliminator and brackets. Systems can be configured to clean one or both sides of the material.

Neutro-Vac Web and Sheet Cleaning System

Neutro-Vac utilizes a low velocity, high volume vacuum system, which makes it ideal for installation over unsupported webs, because the material will not be pulled to the vacuum slot. The systems can be either non-contact (the material being cleaned is not touched by brushes or other mechanical methods) or contact style. Neutro-Vacs combine the power of a compressed air blast, static eliminator and a high output exhaust head to agitate the web, remove the static bond and evacuate the surface particulate.

NWS Narrow Web Cleaning System

The NWS utilizes a unique five-phase cleaning process. A static eliminator removes the static charges bonding dust and dirt onto the web. A low pressure, high volume air flow is applied to the web, circulating and vacuuming particulate. Primary and sealing brushes are also used to enhance cleaning effectiveness.
The NWS can be easily installed onto any area of open web on most major narrow web presses and other narrow web machinery. Three standard sized systems are available, 8", 12" and 18", with versions for cleaning one side and both sides of the web. Because NWS systems are manufactured in standard sizes, they are an economical investment with savings of up to 50% off custom engineered systems.
